Rain.Thunder.Lightning.

Last night through the night and the morning it was storming, not the scared for hail or tornado kind of storm just the loud cozy roar of hard rain and thunder. Living in Texas we don't see a lot of weather... It's mostly just sunny and hot. So when it rains it sort of transports me to a different place and makes me feel like I'm on some kind of vacation. We recently sold our house and we rented an apartment while we do some work on a new casita that we just bought. As excited/ready/desperate as I am to get into our new digs this apartment season has its perks. It's in an area of town that I'm familiar with but I've never lived over here or really known anyone who has. So Chas and I have decided that this is our mini-not so mini-staycation. This is the vacation that with a one year old you could never afford to take because you would destroy any form of sleep pattern you've been working so hard to accomplish. We're feeling good, but we know it's not forever so that helps us enjoy it even more. So Thistle Hill, we're the Dummits and even though we don't love that you don't have an elevator our calves, thighs and butts thank you for putting us way up here on the third floor.
