So when the leaves were turning for the first time, in Texas, in centuries my heart rate was unstoppable. The colors would light me up so much you would think the trees changed JUST for me, like that was their gift to me after a long, hot summer. This sweet precious couple tolerated my crazy for a couple of hours, while I made them stand, sit, squat, in front of every beautiful changing leaf. By the end of the shoot i'm sure they were ready to buy this tree hugger a pair of Birkenstocks and call it a day, but instead they brought out the other thing that I get giddy over....their family pet. You really don't understand the dog-child love-affair unless you have one so I won't even try to explain, see for yourself:
